Randy Price
When a neighbor showed the 12-year-old Randy the blueprints for their new home it was like a revelation to him. He taught himself how to draw to scale by taking objects from his imagination – be they buildings or spaceships – and rendering them on the page. “Then I learned to tear a house down,” Randy explains, “and put one together again.” It was at art school and then as an art director for Neiman-Marcus that he honed his ability to take competing aesthetics and re-envision them into one coherent, powerful idea. Now an established production designer, he has worked with a host of brand-name clients, including Kohler, Hyundai and Dell.
